Laurent Jouret

Partner and Head of Corporate Services

 

Prior to joining Inventures in 2017, Laurent was a Senior Investment Manager at Sofina, a listed financial holding company based in Belgium, with more than €5 billion under management. He was a member of the internal Committees supervising direct investment opportunities and was regularly involved in the sourcing, analysis and negotiation of these investments.

Between 2012 and 2016, he held the position of Director of Sofina’s subsidiary in Luxembourg, where he was in charge of the management of the global portfolio of alternative investments (private equity funds in the USA, Europe and Emerging Markets, and Hedge Funds) and was also regularly involved in the sourcing, analysis and negotiation of direct co-investment opportunities. In addition, Laurent has represented Sofina as a Board Director in portfolio companies.

 

Prior to joining Sofina, Laurent was a Senior Financial Analyst at ING. As a financial analyst within the Credit Research Group of ING Credit Portfolio Group, he played an active role in managing the Group's credit portfolio and in ensuring that credit risks were monitored and assessed in a consistent manner. He had contacts with ING entities worldwide dealing with credit risks (account managers, structured finance department, risk managers, investment managers) and with multi-national corporate clients.

 

Prior to joining ING, Laurent worked for BRG (Bank Degroof) as a Financial Analyst and for Citibank as Financial Controller.

 

Laurent holds a Business Engineering Master’s degree from the Louvain School of Management and is a Certified European Financial Analyst (BVFA-ABAF). In 2013, he also completed the Private Equity and Venture Capital program at Harvard Business School and, in 2011, the Emerging Leader Program at London Business School.
