Inventures is pleased to announce its investment in Myskillcamp, a belgian Edtech start-up

Sept 2020- Inventures is pleased to announce its investment in myskillcamp, a learning experience platform (LXP) tailored to corporate and SME needs In Europe. Conviction Capital, Leansquare and Seederfund were our co-investors in the 2.1M EUR round.

Belgium-based myskillcamp is leading the market in this direction through its learning experience platform (LXP). They consolidate trainings in local languages, help learning managers set goals and curricula for their employees and establish a social network for learning engagement and transfer between staff and companies.

Four out of five CEOs identified their employees’ lack of essential skills as a threat to growth, according to a 2019 PwC study. Of those CEOs surveyed, 46% identified significant upskilling and re-skilling as the most important way to close their organization’s skill gap.

The pandemic has certainly shaped many aspects of our lives, and especially how we work and learn. The big question is – how will the world’s employers keep up with changing demands around skills needed to adapt to the changes, especially during the age of social distancing? myskillcamp is providing an answer to that question for European SMEs and corporates.

We’re excited by myskillcamp’s rapid growth even before the covid crisis, and the team has continually impressed us with their market knowledge, commitment to upskilling and drive to create social impact in Europe.

The UN captures its commitment to skilling the workforce through SDG 4.4- By 2030, substantially increase the number of youth and adults who have relevant skills, including technical and vocational skills, for employment, decent jobs and entrepreneurship. This sub-goal highlights that full employment is key for global economic growth and equalities.

We’re really excited about the digital platform, as we recognize that skills are an important tool for SDG 4.4 and generally for diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace as well – and we can’t wait to see where MSC goes in the coming years! Keep an eye out on them.
